As a resident of Commerce City, I’m well aware of Suncor’s history of exceeding pollution limits and endangering the health and wellness of our residents and surrounding neighborhoods. Although our community relies heavily on oil and gas, there is no excuse for deficiencies in facility culture, safety training, and necessary equipment. Most importantly, we should not allow corporations to abuse their power. Regardless of where you stand on the issue of oil and gas, we all agree that minimum safety and health regulations must be maintained.
The time to act is now. This is our air. This is our water. We should have a say!
