Pandemic Recovery

The societal impact of the Covid-19 pandemic will be felt for years to come and it is critical that while we focus on the physical and mental health of our neighbors, we not overlook the economic implications impacting families, small businesses and government funded resources. We must be innovative in our problem solving and flexible in our policies. As your councilwoman I will: ​

  • Guarantee equal access to vaccination sites as we work towards reaching herd immunity, allowing us to re-open schools and businesses safely.

  • Work strategically with county, state and federal leaders to ensure that renters can pay their rent and homeowners and landlords can pay their mortgages. 

​​

  • Support local business as they seek access to loans and grants, which will allow them to not just stay in business but instead thrive in business. 

​​

  • Invest in career development and job opportunities for those who are unemployed or underemployed, while advocating for improved internet connectivity to expand work-from-home options.
